NATIONAL MASTER WOMEN
It was great to see a master women's competition, which is for any lady who is over 35. This year's event had only two competitors, but both were in excellent shape. BC's popular Teri Thom presnted a splendid package of female symmetry and pleasing muscularity. Teri's overall balanced proportions made her a clear winner over teammate Colleen Halbauer, who displayed thicker muscle but failed to measure up to Teri in the cuts department.

MIDDLEWEIGHT WOMEN
What a surprise it was to see Quebec's striated and ultra ripped Catherine Grenier finish in second place behind BC's Teri Thom! Teri was fresh from her master women's win and was ecstatic to take the women's middleweight category as well. In terms of pure muscle density and overall mass Grenier was easily the more impressive. However, with the recent trend in women's bodybuilding to pick more aesthetic and less muscled competitors, the judges went with Thom, who presented a more feminine development with just the right amount of muscle. When the results were announced, it was obvious from the look on Grenier's face that she was shocked at finishing second. Third place was awarded to the compact and spunky Lori Laroque.
